Following the success of its first Power of Music in Health and Social Care conference in October 2018, the University of Nottingham has announced its second conference, on Monday 4 November.

The event is being held in partnership with Lakeside Arts, Room 217 Foundation, Live Music Now, Music for Dementia 2020, OPUS Music and Health, Institute of Mental Health, Social Prescribing Network, The Utley Foundation and ESRC Festival of Social Science. This one day conference will bring together care partners interested in the role music has in the quality of living and care. Guest speakers will include Dr Anthea Holland, Bev Foster, James Sanderson, Dr Jane Bentley, Professor Raymond MacDonald, Professor Gary Ansdell, Dr Catherine Jordan, OPUS Music, Live Music Now, Red Sea, and Bird and Family Bryan.

The conference is being held at the East Midlands Conference Centre, University of Nottingham. Tickets are £85 (including refreshments and lunch) and are available now from www.nottingham.ac.uk/go/powerofmusic along with further programme information.
