Ability Net
Ability Net provide a number of useful factsheets on assistive technology that can help you get the most out of your computer, including Voice Recognition Software: an Introduction and Voice Recognition Software: Advanced Features and Concepts.

Age UK
Age UK provide a number of useful information sheets on topics relating to health and social care, care homes and disability equipment.

Alzheimer’s Society
The Alzheimer’s Society provide a number of useful information and advice sheets on topics related to Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, including one on ‘Assistive technology’.

Dementia Friends
A Dementia Friend learns a little bit more about what it's like to live with dementia and then turns that understanding into action - anyone of any age can be a Dementia Friend. From helping someone to find the right bus to spreading the word about dementia on social media, every action counts.

Department of Health
The Department of Health published a booklet in 2007 for carers which gives information about dementia, caring for someone with dementia and the help available to carers. A lot of the information may still be useful.

Disabled Living Foundation
DLF is a national charity providing impartial advice, information and training on independent living since 1969. It is a founder member of the Information Standard, a certification scheme for health and social care information.

Driving and Dementia
The Direct Line website has a useful article, Driving and Dementia: The Essential Guide for Seniors, which details what people living with dementia need to know about driving safely.

Ricability
Ricability provides a number of consumer reports including household products for easier living and a ‘Guide to community alarms’.

Travelling with a Medical Condition
This guide helps with questions about travel insurance and other useful information.

Tunstall
Tunstall have produced a guide on Dementia Care Solutions for Independent Living providing information and case study examples on the use of telecare devices for health and social care professionals and carers. View the guide here.

UK Care Guide is a website designed to help people across all aspects of care, whether that be financial help with paying for care or lasting power of attorney guidance. They have a Dementia Care guide and details about different types of dementia.

Unforgettable aims to improve the lives of those living with memory loss and dementia by bringing together specially selected products together with practical advice and a supportive and sharing community. They have a comprehensive advice section with lots of useful information.

Which Elderly Care
Which provides free, independent and practical advice about caring for older people across the UK. There is a useful page about available benefits and allowances in their 'Financing care' section.
