Directional loudspeakers put spotlight on dementia

In Singapore’s National Design Centre, Audio Spotlight directional sound is the primary feature in an exhibit that shows visitors how people with dementia might perceive sound.

The purpose of the exhibit is to make architects and designers aware of how difficult it is for people with dementia to function in public spaces, and what can be done to make such spaces a more pleasant experience for those who have dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.
